Unit typeShort-termPer 28-day cycleSized by
Porta Potty Rental$135 to $225$175 to $325One standard unit covers up to 10 workers for a 40-hour week, or roughly 50 guests for a four-hour event.
Construction Porta Potty RentalMonthly only$185 to $340OSHA requires one toilet for up to 20 workers. Above 20 workers and up to 200, the standard is one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers.
Event Porta Potty Rental$135 to $225$135 to $225Start at one unit per 50 guests for four hours, add 15 to 20 percent if alcohol is served, add 20 to 30 percent if food is served, and include at least one accessible unit per cluster.
ADA Portable Restroom Rental$175 to $295$240 to $450At least 5 percent of the single-user portable units in each cluster must be accessible, with a minimum of one accessible unit wherever portable restrooms are provided.
Restroom Trailer Rental$850 to $1,900$850 to $1,900A 2-station trailer comfortably serves about 100 guests for four hours, a 3-station serves about 200, and above 300 guests plan an 8 to 10 station trailer or a trailer plus standard units.
Handwashing Station Rental$85 to $165$85 to $165Plan roughly one two-station handwash unit per four portable restrooms, and one per food-service area regardless of restroom count.
Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty Rental$175 to $300$250 to $425Use the same headcount ratios as a standard unit, because the upgrade changes the experience rather than the capacity.
Winter and Heated Porta Potty Rental$165 to $295$215 to $420Winter crews use restrooms less often but for longer. Plan the same OSHA ratio and expect fuller tanks per visit, because less liquid evaporates in cold weather.
Wedding Restroom Rental$850 to $2,400$850 to $2,400For a four to five hour reception, plan a 2-station trailer up to about 100 guests, a 3-station to about 200, and an 8 to 10 station trailer above 300.
Long Term Porta Potty RentalMonthly only$165 to $290Use the same OSHA or PSAI ratio as a short-term placement, then revisit unit count each season as site activity changes.

6 city cost guides

Cost guides by city and service

City-level guides exist where the local delivery band, permit exposure or site conditions genuinely change the arithmetic.

Methodology

Where these numbers come from

These ranges are compiled from published Minnesota portable-restroom rental quotes and national rental cost guides current as of August 2026, cross-checked against the delivery, service and winterization line items that Minnesota haulers actually bill. They are planning ranges, not a price list. Every quote we issue is itemized and specific to your address, dates and unit count, and it is the quote - not this page - that we honor.

We publish ranges rather than a single number because portable restroom pricing genuinely varies by distance from the servicing yard, season, service frequency and rental length. Anyone advertising one flat statewide price is either excluding delivery or excluding service.

How we price, and why we publish it

The questions we get asked most, answered directly. Call if yours is not here.

Why do you publish prices when most rental companies will not?

Because it saves everyone time. A contractor pricing a bid and an event organiser building a budget both need a number before they need a conversation. Publishing the ranges with their sources means you can sanity-check any quote, ours included, against something you can verify.

Are these prices a quote?

No. They are planning ranges compiled from published Minnesota rental quotes and national cost guides, cross-checked against the line items Minnesota haulers actually bill. The itemized written quote we send for your address and dates is the number we honor, and it stands for 14 days from issue.

Why is everything a range instead of one price?

Because portable restroom pricing genuinely varies by distance from the servicing yard, season, service frequency and rental length, and those four things move a quote by more than the difference between unit types. Anyone advertising a single flat statewide price is excluding either delivery or service, and one of those bills arrives later.

What is the single biggest cost factor in Minnesota?

Unit count, not unit price. On a job site the OSHA ratio sets the floor; on an event the PSAI ratio plus alcohol and food adjustments does. Getting the count right is worth more than shopping the per-unit rate, which is why the calculator on this page shows the arithmetic rather than just a total.
